BRUNSWICK, Ohio – The Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance (NMCCA) celebrated a successful year at a recent holiday luncheon at Mapleside Farms in Brunswick, where new board members were sworn in, and a new president took the reins.In its first official year as the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance, the organization successfully transitioned itself into a more engaged, community-focused entity.
BRUNSWICK, OH, November 19, 2019. Today, the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance announced that Maureen Dowell has been hired as its new Executive Director.
Dowell fills the role as Executive Director after the board opted to manage the chamber for the past 18 months.
Dowell has experience working with non-profits, and business organizations, both as a director and a board member. She brings a background in management, with considerable experience in event planning, city government, small business support, fund development and supervision of employees, and customer service value. She also has a strong working knowledge in membership recruitment, business retention, and sponsorship acquisition.
Additionally, Dowell has worked hard in her previous professional and advisory roles to partner with organizations throughout the county, connecting available resources, motivating groups to work together to establish common goals and give back to the community in impactful ways.

Maureen’s deep understanding of the business communities needs along with her experience in content programming allows her to hit the ground running. We are excited about her vision and energy.” said Ed Gonzales, Incoming Chair, NMCCA.

have been selected for this position, as well as very excited to begin working
with the NMCCA Board and membership to continue moving the organization
forward.” Maureen said. “I hope that my knowledge of Medina County, along
with my experiences in government, education, and workforce development will
serve the area well. I look forward to all I will learn about the businesses in
the community, the great new relationships we can build, and I will make
striving to recognize and meet each organizations’ needs a top priority in
my new role.”
Dowell began her tenure at the Northern Medina County Chamber this past Monday, Nov. 18th.
