The NMCCA Business Builders Program empowers local business owners to overcome challenges and achieve lasting growth by fostering a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. Through expert-led sessions, peer networking, and practical problem-solving, this six-month program provides entrepreneurs with the tools, skills, and resources they need to excel in a constantly evolving business landscape.

Topics & Curriculum
The initial six-month session will focus on the following topics, with a follow-up "2.0" program planned later in the year to address additional areas and further develop the diverse skills and expertise essential to running a successful business:
Learn how to create a comprehensive business plan that sets the foundation for sustainable growth and success.
Explore key financial considerations, including securing startup funding, understanding insurance needs, and mastering the basics of invoicing and billing.
Develop effective strategies to promote your business, reach your target audience, and build a strong brand presence.
Gain insights into hiring and firing best practices, as well as essential HR policies and employment laws.
Learn practical strategies for running and managing day-to-day business operations effectively and efficiently.
Understand the importance of supplier, vendor, and client agreements to protect and support your business operations.
Length
The program will run over a six-month period, with a mix of in-person and virtual sessions designed to accommodate diverse schedules.
When
Classes will take place on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 8:00 to 9:30 AM. Virtual sessions will not be recorded, emphasizing the importance of live participation.
Assignments
Certain sessions may include actionable plans or assignments to prepare participants for upcoming classes, fostering practical application and engagement.
Where
The Brunswick University Center, a Cuyahoga Community College campus, has generously partnered with the chamber to provide dedicated classroom space for in-person sessions.
Who Will Be Teaching?
Industry leaders and chamber members who are experts in their respective fields will serve as instructors for the program. These local chamber-member entrepreneurs, recognized as subject matter experts, will generously share their knowledge and invest their time to support the growth and success of participants.
